Wednesday & Friday - home visits and urgent care for established clients
Other arrangements may be made for urgent care for established clients (ie evenings and weekends).
Free pregnancy tests available on a walk in basis whenever we're open, although due to recent issues of fraud, we can no longer provide pregnancy confirmations without an exam or blood test.
Liberal telephone and email consultations. You will have easy access to your midwife by pager or cellphone for urgent problems.
Payment:
We accept cash, checks, or money orders as well as most insurance plans.
You can pay by credit card through Paypal. Unfortunately, at this time we do not accept Medicare or Take Charge
If you have questions about your insurance or your payment, please contact Brenda at Pacific Billing (see the Contact Us page). Discount given for cash at time of service. Self pay homebirths must be paid prior to 36 weeks.
Most insurance plans, including medicaid and group health, will pay for homebirth services other than a few supplies. One that does not is Aetna, and you will have to have a letter pre-authorizing payment for homebirth services or agree in writing to pay for my services if your insurance does not pay. I suggest that you obtain preauthorization for all out-of-state plans.
